Max Romeo (nascido Maxwell Livingston Smith, 22 de novembro de 1947, St. D'Acre, St. James, Jamaica [1]) é um reggae e artista roots reggae que alcançou sucesso nas paradas em sua terra natal, e no Reino Unido. Romeo foi responsável pelo lançamento de um novo inteiramente sub-gênero do reggae, cujo abertamente sugestiva letra causou um protesto, mas tomou uma retenção maciça da cena da música independente.
